Publication Ethics

The International Journal of Islamic Civilization, Thought, and Culture (IJTAC) is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures to prevent publication malpractice. This publication ethics statement is based on the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and applies to all parties involved in the publishing process, including authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher.

  1. Authors’ Responsibilities
  • Authors must ensure that the submitted manuscript is original, accurate, and written honestly.
  • Any form of plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, or citation manipulation is strictly prohibited.
  • Manuscripts submitted to IJTAC must not have been published previously or be under consideration by another journal.
  • All listed authors must have made significant contributions to the research.
  • Authors must clearly disclose any sources of funding and potential conflicts of interest.
  • If authors discover significant errors in their published work, they are obliged to promptly notify the editor and cooperate in corrections or retractions.
  1. Editors’ Responsibilities
  • Editors are responsible for deciding which articles submitted to IJTAC should be published, based on academic merit, originality, clarity, and relevance to the journal’s scope.
  • Editors must evaluate manuscripts in a fair, objective, and unbiased manner.
  • Editors must maintain the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts.
  • Editors should avoid conflicts of interest and ensure that the peer-review process is conducted ethically.
  1. Reviewers’ Responsibilities
  • Reviewers assist editors in making editorial decisions and improving manuscript quality.
  • Reviews must be conducted in an objective, constructive, and timely manner.
  • Reviewers must treat all manuscripts as confidential documents.
  • Reviewers should disclose any potential conflicts of interest and decline to review manuscripts when such conflicts exist.
  1. Publisher’s Responsibilities
  • The publisher of IJTAC is committed to ensuring that editorial decisions are independent and free from commercial influence.
  • The publisher will address alleged or proven cases of unethical publication behavior in a transparent, consistent, and responsible manner.
